Tatum by Randstad is presently conducting a search for a Senior Controller for a Impactful PE Firm based in Orange County, CA. This is a newly created role due to firm growth that will have a seat at the table with the C-Suite. Firm has $5bb++ AUM, highly pedigreed and hands-on leadership team, and friendly company culture.

responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities in this role reporting to the COO will include:

  • Leading monthly, quarterly and annual fund, management company, GP and investor accounting and reporting; overseeing the accounting systems, processes and procedures.

  • Ensuring the accuracy, comprehensiveness, timeliness, and transparency of fund accounting, financial forecasting, budgeting and reporting, thus providing the Partners with meaningful financial information and analysis.

  • Function as main POC for all 3rd party relationships (Fund Admin, Valuation, etc)

  • Overseeing all aspects of cash flow management including working capital, distributions, capital calls, payroll, and operating expenses.

  • Leading and contributing in other areas including: cash forecasts, annual audit, annual LP meeting (meeting materials, IRR calculations, portfolio company reviews, and other aspects of the meeting).

  • Preparing the firm's annual operating budget in consultation with the Partners and managing systems and procedures to track expenses/metrics and report against the budget.

  • Partnering effectively on all compliance and regulatory matters related to the firm's activities.

  • Advising the Partners on developments in financial management practices, budgeting and reporting, including potential and actual changes in investment or fund accounting principles as well as tax, regulatory and reporting requirements.

  • Developing and maintaining close relationships with legal, accounting, tax, compliance, governance and strategy consulting experts at the professional services firms.

qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 15 + years of relevant industry experience, possess top-notch problem solving ability, be able to effectively work well in a hands-on environment, and have a great attitude.

** Compensation includes a total compensation program of $300k +.
