Vista Outdoor Manager, Finance - Fox Racing in Irvine, California

Job Description

This position offers a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced finance leader to play a key role in managing and securing the financial success of Fox Head globally. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the Finance Manager of FP&A is a key business partner to North American region and responsible for a direct report. This role is not merely about planning and reporting, but critically about enabling and ensuring profitable and cash-strong growth by working closely with all members of the global finance team, every day, to influence results and drive accountability.

As the Finance Manager- North America, your mission is to partner with in-region leadership providing financial support to drive productivity and drive key decision making. From monthly and quarterly forecasting to scenario planning for strategic projects, you’ll be working closely with counterparts in the executive team, sales operations, demand planning and product management to ensure we have the right data to drive decisions. You will play an integral role in the financial leadership of the business in the annual and 5 year planning processes identifying and quantifying impact of strategic initiatives on the top and bottom lines for the region.. You will contribute to the development and execution of the annual operating plan and play an integral part in aligning team goals with senior leadership expectations.

This position is based out of our Irvine office.

As the Finance Manager, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Manage finance team responsible for supporting and guiding North America Sales leadership in executing organizational strategic initiatives

  • Provide financial oversight and leadership for the business, sharing insights through Regional P&L ownership, Revenue / Profit target setting, and Risks & Opportunities

  • Lead monthly budget vs. actual reviews, provide insights on bookings/revenue trends, and drive actions to achieve topline and margin goals

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial/strategic planning activity while driving rigorous accountability of financial objectives and forecasts with business partners

  • Develop annual financial reporting connecting regional volume forecasts to global 5-year strategic revenue plan

  • Direct and design further improvements to reporting and analytical tools

  • Perform ROI financial analysis/justifications of projects, utilizing advanced financial modeling to ensure appropriate resource allocation and return on investment

  • Lead, develop, and coach a team of one direct report with a focus on results, partnership, and individual development plans

You have:

  • Comprehensive business understanding of processes and structure

  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers

  • Excellent communication skills for persuasion and convincing others both internally and externally

  • Ability to lead, develop and coach direct reports

  • Ability to think and act strategically and develop operational and strategic plans

  • Excellent analytical skills, managing large data quantities from multiple sources

  • 6+ years working experience in Financial Planning and Analysis

  • 2+ years in people management role

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated

  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity

  • Experience using SAP desirable

Pay Range:

$107,500.00 - $168,100.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
