Overview

JOB SUMMARY:

This position maintains the fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure process within the Corporate Accounting team, ensuring efficient and accurate capital asset financial management and adherence to the Company’s various capital expenditure policies. Duties include period-end reconciliations, reporting, and support of the Company’s various divisions during quarter-end, annual planning, and with ad-hoc requests. In addition, this role assists with other Corporate Accounting functions, including property taxes, equipment leasing, general period-end close, and other areas, as needed.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead Corporate Accounting fixed asset function, including assisting with annual operating plan, preparation of account reconciliations and analysis, and preparation of related journal entries on a daily and monthly basis. In addition, maintain fixed asset financial system records in an accurate and efficient manner. (40%)

  • Lead Capital Expenditure Request process, including interfacing with divisions and adherence to Company policies (30%)

  • Assist with Company’s property tax filings, including coordination with internal tax team and various reporting needs (10%)

  • Assist with Company’s equipment leasing operations, including communications with outside financing partners and internal billings process (10%)

  • Perform analysis and prepare reports of timely and accurate financial information for management decision-making and perform other related duties as necessary (10%)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

At least 5 years of related work experience in fixed asset accounting, general accounting, and financial reporting.
