Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy. This professional will serve a key function in researching and developing relationships and opportunities as well as executing effective strategies and tactics to further grow business in the renewables market, which includes but is not limited to: solar, wind, energy storage, EV facilities, and green hydrogen. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Langan’s leadership and technical teams to leverage the firm’s engineering and environmental expertise directly with prospects and clients as well as allied design firms such as mechanical/electrical consultants, EPCs, law firms, and the regulatory community. Langan is rapidly growing its renewable energy business and this position presents an exceptional career growth opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with national renewables practice leadership to develop strategic initiatives;

  • Leverages experience with key national renewable clients;

  • Identifies and assesses renewable energy market trends and potential opportunities;

  • Partners with renewables practice leadership in the preparation of renewable energy project proposals, statements of qualifications, requests for quotations and pricing, and other marketing collateral from concept through completion;

  • Leads business development agenda during weekly meetings to coordinate events, business development opportunities and proposals;

  • Coordinates, tracks and supports the firm’s renewable energy business development/marketing activities;

  • Attends networking events on behalf of the firm; and

  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field;

  • 7+ years of related business development and marketing, experience within the renewable energy industry;

  • Strong familiarity within the renewable market sector;

  • Demonstrated experience with supervision and creation of multi-disciplinary proposals;

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Adobe Acrobat/Reader;

  • Active participation in applicable energy professional organizations;

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and excellent editing skills;

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;

  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment with multiple deadlines; and

  • Ability to travel to networking events, tradeshows, and branch offices.

    Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $175,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. This position is also eligible to participate in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.
