Allied Universal® is hiring a Benefits Service Representative. The Benefits Service Representative is responsible for providing customer service to employees calling into the benefits hotline. In addition to assisting with incoming calls, the Benefits Service Representative will also provide support for a variety of benefit department functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage high volume of inbound calls in a courteous and timely manner

  • Accurately document all calls and inquiries within employee records

  • Provide assistance and support to employees regarding their benefits inquiries

  • Assist with resolving benefits-related issues and discrepancies

  • Educate employees on benefit options, eligibility, and coverage details

  • Stay informed about changes in benefits regulations and company policies

  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees while adhering to company standards and procedures

  • Communicate effectively with insurance carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate benefits administration

  • Participate in benefits-related projects and initiatives as needed and assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED)

  • Minimum of one (1) year of call center and/or benefits administrative experience in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to exhibit a high degree of ethics, professionalism, and service orientation in all activities and all interactions with internal and external individuals

  • Proactive problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to adapt to frequent change

  • Problem-solving skills; demonstrated initiative and ability to work with limited supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to support requests from multiple individuals, effectively prioritizing tasks in order to ensure all activities are accomplished within established deadlines

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook), and Internet and website navigation required

  • Analytical and technical skills to support the delivery of benefit administration

  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Knowledge of benefit administration including all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, and DOL requirements

  • Certifications in Business Administration, Benefits, Microsoft Excel, etc.

BENEFITS:

  • Hourly pay rate: $18 - $21

  • Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance

  • Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements

  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days

  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
