Aerotek 2nd Shift Machine Operator in Irvine, California

Description:

This role will be setting up and operating various types of extrusion equipment, and performing in process inspection. This role will require basic mechanical aptitude, basic shop math, basic print reading, the use of common hand tools, basic inspection tools, basic trouble shooting, and intermediate knowledge of material forming techniques including internal and external cold roll extrusion.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.

• Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.

• Correctly interpret work orders and verify documentation

• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.

• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

• Perform visual inspection to verify no defects or damage

• Perform change set up for multiple jobs

• Perform tooling change when necessary

• Knowledgeable of running multiple advanced machines

• Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions

• Ability to verify part quantity and perform visual inspection for defects or damage

• Punctuality

• The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals.
