Remedy Staffing Trim Production Associate in Iowa City, Iowa

Trim Production Associate Remedy Intelligent Staffing works with some of the finest companies in Eastern Iowa. Remedy is proud to support their needs and have several great job opportunities for you! Temp to hire positions! The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with roofing, sheet metal, or construction. Two or more years of previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.

Location:Riverside, Iowa - a short drive from the Iowa City area

Pay:up to $18.00/hour

Hours:2^nd^shift - 6:00pm - 2:00am Monday - Friday (training will be day shifts for a few weeks)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure trim production aligns with company goals
  • Review orders to ensure accurate trim production
  • Take precise measurements for cutting and shaping
  • Utilize the appropriate machine for a given task
  • Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment
  • Adjust machine as needed or individual trim profiles
  • Load and unload trim from machines carts, and dollies
  • Check trim for quality assurance, remove damaged parts and document defects
  • Clean trim machine
  • Identify the need for and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Maintain a safe and clean workstation
  • Operate a forklift safely
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, and reach for 8-10 hours
  • Lift 10 - 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • High level attention to detail
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical skills
  • Able to work well with others and listen to directions
  • The ability to align a team to company goals
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Make decisions in a timely manner
  • Must be able to wear personal protection (ear plugs and safety glasses)
  • Read, understand, and communicate all safety and operational procedures
