A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Kevin Legge Ph.D. in the Department of Pathology, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. The Legge laboratory is focused upon immune response (e.g., CD8 T cell, CD4 T cells, dendritic cells (DC), and B cell) to pulmonary viral infections and after vaccinations. Applicants should have a strong background in immunology, flow cytometry, as well as experience in rodent models. The selected candidate will be expected to work independently while interacting in a collaborative environment.

Education Requirement:

PhD, MD/PhD or MD with significant bench research experience.

Required Qualifications:

Excellent communication and writing skills in English

Experience working with mice

Research experience in immunology or virology

Demonstrated ability to work independently

Desirable Qualifications:

Proficient in multi-color flow cytometry techniques

Experience in molecular biology

Experience in sterile tissue culture
