Position Overview This position is an accelerated learning within our technical and manufacturing teams. Individuals selected for these roles will potentially spend 6 months in different areas depending on their assignment, training them and teaching them several different areas of our business. The ideal candidate will enjoy seeing new places and learning new things. Responsibilities Partake in and counsel employees in safe work practices by understanding and complying with lock-out/ tag-out procedures. Calibrate, track, and document equipment in conformance with ISO standards in the Quality Systems calibration manuals Maintain and troubleshoot plant weight gage systems, glass pulls systems, position control valves, IR scanners and belt tracking units Maintain and document laboratory equipment Will learn several different operations and areas with our plants Maintain and troubleshoot furnace and fiberizer combustion components, controls, and instruments Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate plant environmental monitoring equipment, mass flow meters, weight scales and linear transducers Originate, maintain and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams Maintain, build, and install thermocouples Develop and maintain BOM and inventories of critical equipment components Communicate all changes affecting process/production to those affected Assist as requested with weekend, holiday, and call-in maintenance Various projects as assigned Qualifications Education Qualifications Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Bachelors Degree required Experience Entry level Engineer Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments Ability to work in a safety-conscious manner & ensure all safety regulations are followed by all employees Ability to make quick, thorough decisions Ability to take on multiple responsibilities and challenges with minimal supervision Ability to multi-task Troubleshooting skills Time management skills Computer skills in MS Windows environment; proficient with Word, PowerPoint and Excel Self-motivated Our benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision starting on day one!
