Genesis10 is seeking a Scrum Master: II for a contract with our client in Inver Grove Heights, MN. 100% Remote. Job Description: Our client has an exciting opportunity in the Corporate IT Project Management Office (PMO). We are looking for a Scrum Master to bring agile principles and values that enable the team to work and think differently, work efficiently, and deliver outcomes. The Scrum Master is a servant-leader who empowers their team to be a self-organizing team but also works to proactively eliminate barriers that impact ability to meet goals. The Scrum Master also enables a collaborative environment and helps to balance priorities and optimize workflow. Key Responsibilities: Servant Leader to team Facilitate Scrum Events: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team. Remove Impediments: Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress, enabling them to focus on delivering value during each sprint. Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance and coaching to team members on agile principles and practices, helping them continuously improve and adapt. Ensure Product Backlog Management: Work closely with the product owner to groom and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the priorities of the business and is ready for sprint planning. Promote Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and transparent environment within the team, encouraging open communication, trust, and respect among team members. Track and Report Progress: Monitor sprint progress and team performance, tracking key metrics such as velocity and burndown charts, and reporting them to stakeholders as needed. Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Facilitate discussions around process improvements and help the team implement changes that enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. Encourage collaboration with the team and the business partners while ensuring delivery of value on a regular and frequent basis. Facilitates the gathering of user and technical-stories and welcomes rapidly changing requirements to improve the product outcomes as business needs change. Supports overall team by negotiating and advocating for team with stakeholders, helping to resolve conflict, minimizing distraction/disruption and providing hands-on mentorship when needed. Required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Project Management or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and training) Experience working with SAP Systems and knowledge of the ACTIVATE framework 2+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Technology Consulting and Support Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, XP or similar frameworks Leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, guide the creation of a self-organizing team and be assertive in adhering Compensation: Hourly W2 pay rate $65.00-$70.00 We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
