Indianapolis, IN, USA | Transport - Indy | Full Time

Primary Purpose

To perform welding and fabrication of materials, equipment and supplies and perform general equipment maintenance and repairs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Basic mig welding of steel and aluminum.

  • Prepare, inspect, clean, diagnose, and repair all welding related equipment and materials.

  • Repair IM and roll off boxes, replace tarps, seals, bows, etc.

  • Operate forklift equipment to perform all general equipment repair and installation.

  • Perform assigned work in compliance with all Safe work procedures, guidelines, practices, permits and air monitoring requirements.

  • Endure safeguards for equipment and PPE while performing welding operations.

  • Repair products by dismantling straightening and reshaping.

  • Potential to weld components in flat, vertical, downhill or overhead positions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Education: High School Diploma or it's equivalent required. Trade school certification or advanced degree from accredited institution in welding preferred but not required.

    Experience: Minimum 6 months welding and fabricating experience required.

    Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Must have the ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

    A post offer drug screen will be required.
