JPMorgan Chase Transactions Specialist III - Positive Pay Team in Indianapolis, Indiana

Are you detail oriented and enjoy working in a fast paced environment?

As a Transactions Specialist III in the positive pay department, you will review Chase Cashier's Checks and Money Orders to determine if the items should be paid or returned. This process includes the identification of fraudulent items using Positive Pay, which is an automated fraud detection tool. A comparison of the items presented to the system of record is completed and a decision to pay or return the item is rendered. For those that do not match, an exceptions report is created and worked. This additional research is done to confirm the final status of the Chase Cashier's Checks and Money Orders.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform complex administrative activities including (but not limited to): General research of Chase issued Cashier's Checks/Money Orders, Stop Payment requests/reviews, Dual Presentments, etc.

  • Obtain end-to-end understanding of Official Checks, including overall life cycle; laws and regulations; impacts to/from surrounding operations groups; system interfaces.

  • Approach escalated problems logically and with good judgment to ensure proper outcome.

  • Communicate professionally with departmental management and business partners to facilitate resolution or decision.

  • Required to abide by all applicable regulatory and department practices and procedures

  • Facilitate and complete cross-training for DRO in order to provide backup for other team members as well as continued career development.

  • Participate as needed in projects for system upgrades, new business, or market initiatives.

  • Meet established deadlines on a daily basis.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Organizational Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Etc.)

  • Strong time management skills in order to meet all established deadlines

  • Ability to evaluate and analyze data from multiple sources in a fast-paced environment
