  • GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The systems analyst will be responsible for supporting the Indianapolis warehouse through effective systems management. The Indianapolis warehouse uses SAP products for WMS (warehouse management system) and TM (transportation management). This position is responsible to ensure the WMS is working effectively, troubleshoots problem areas, and works across a cross-functional IT support team to develop solutions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot problems between WMS, TMS, YMS, and order mgmt. systems and work across IT experts to develop solutions

  • Understand and problem solve the different operating systems and connection points related to inventory and order fulfillment

  • Maintain and update site hardware as needed including handheld tablets and RF scanners

  • Work with systems experts to develop new solutions for reporting and warehouse applications

  • Work with the warehouse leadership team to establish needs for reporting and dashboard inclusions

  • Be the communicator to IT experts for the warehouse IT problems and desired solutions

  • Validate statements of work proposed by IT developers

  • Work across the warehouse teams to ensure all hardware is functioning as designed

  • Support the construction of macros or other IT efficiency improvements

  • Work across the IT teams to drive complex system issue resolutions

  • Proactively identify problems and implement swift, effective solutions

TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS degree in computer science-related field and 3+ years of experience working in the logistics field

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of SAP experience and working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (preferably EWM or SAPWM)

  • Solid understanding of SAP order management, delivery ticket logic, and application development methodologies

  • Strong SQL and Microsoft Office application skills

  • Knowledge of MRP / ERP systems and software application

  • Prefer knowledge of CK65 FR scanning hardware working with Velocity Browser

  • Understanding system mapping/flow charts

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and reporting

  • Experience with datasets with missing and “noisy” data

  • Ability to work with multiple system experts to dissect problems using root analysis to facilitate transaction improvements

  • Ability to develop solutions to ambiguous business problems by leveraging pattern detection for potentially large data sets

  • Passion and curiosity for technology

  • Proven ability to execute with speed and exhibit a bias for action
