Role description

The Supply Chain Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to advance the understanding of our global pharmaceutical business from the reporting/analytics perspective.

Starting from data at the detail level for both past transactions and future plans collected from SAP and other systems, the goal is to provide, sustain and improve solutions that help business users at different levels of the M&Q organization to identify trends and insights that can be used to take actions that pursue the improvement of business outcomes. This requires the understanding of the Supply Chain and Execution processes and how different metrics/KPIs are used to tell the story.

This role will participate in the different phases of the lifecycle of reporting/analytics solution, starting with the dialogue with business users to identify unmet business needs, following with the design of a proper solution, the deployment of the same and finally ensuring that the business users effectively find their needs met. A fundamental aspect is to ensure the sustainability of the reporting/analytics solution establishing/promoting the necessary Governance.

From a technical perspective, this role will make use of existing solutions like SAP HANA or the Microsoft Power Platform where Power BI is included. Nevertheless, this role will also be involved in the exploration of alternative/emerging solutions that may improve what we now utilize, always in a close collaboration with the IDS organization.

In conclusion, this role offers a unique perspective of the Supply Chain that blends the knowledge of the business processes, the interaction with the business users and the use of analytics tools to deliver actionable insights.

Key Objectives/Deliverables

  • Identification of business needs that can be met with new or improved reporting/analytic solutions.

  • Ensure that the existing and new solutions are sustainable and adhering to the established governance.

  • Provide training Business Users across the Supply Chain.

  • Provide help to Business Users in the use of existing solutions.

  • Partner with IDS to ensure the robustness of the existing technology and the exploration of new solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Materials Management, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain experience with understanding of material flows, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry

  • Experience with SAP, Excel, Power BI, Tableau

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership on cross-functional teams.

  • Systems Use/Knowledge – Strong computer-based skills. Capability to develop and utilize spreadsheets for problem-solving, system optimization, and scenario analysis.

  • Orientation – Business savvy, strong people relationships, flexible and adaptable, able to deal with ambiguity. Strong self-management and organizational skills.

  • Communication – Presenting words, images and ideas in a clear, succinct, organized and interesting manner in order to effectively convey a meaningful and compelling message to an individual or group.

  • Organizational Influence – Using conversational forums to demonstrate and convince others the possibility that their needs can be met through the idea, product, or service you are offering.

  • Willingness to work globally among different time zones.

Other Information:

  • Work shift: Full time, normal work shift (Monday-Friday) with a typical workday schedule with the flexibility to support different time zones

  • Hybrid flexibility (3 days on-site, 2 work from home, if desired)

  • Travel, if required will be 10% or less of time
