Make a Difference

The Registered Dietitian performs professional clinical nutrition patient care functions for patients on assigned units. They maintain effective communication within the department and with other healthcare team members to provide quality nutritional care. The Registered Dietitian provides nutrition education for the department, facility and community. They function as a member of the multi-disciplinary health care team to implement nutrition care plans and plans therapeutic diets in accordance with physicians' diagnoses and requirements of regulatory agencies.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • Bachelor Degree Required

  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Required

  • Professional Registered Dietitian License in the state of Indiana (LD)

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians – both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Use technology to provide effective televideo and telephonic interventions in compliance with network guidelines.

  • Preferred experience in oncology or willingness to gain knowledge of best practices, processes, laws, regulations, tools, and software related to oncological nutrition care. this position

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • High level of expertise in the understanding of nutrition principles, theories, and processes

  • Organizational skills in problem solving, decision making, time management, and supervision (in-direct)
