V2X is growing! V2X is looking for an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic to join our team!

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Performs the following duties, and other related activities as assigned. Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements. May perform as a member of a functional and/or cross- functional team.

Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications. Typical systems include avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers and associated equipment. Electrical duties include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies. Mechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances. Structural duties include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.

May perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed. Requires bending, reaching and lifting of objects within V2X EHSS guidelines.

Must be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents, as well as possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic, electromechanical and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved. Ability to obtain a secret security clearance may be required.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read, interpret and build using Engineering drawings.

  • Mechanical aptitude
