A Material Planning Lead is needed for a multinational pharmaceutical company in the Indianapolis, IN area. The Material Planning Lead oversees the comprehensive demand planning process, ensuring material availability, managing order fulfillment, coordinating logistics, optimizing inventory, driving supplier performance, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives within the ERP framework to support production goals and meet quality standards.

responsibilities:

  • Recognize, analyze, influence, and consolidate all demand signals into a complete demand plan for the site.

  • Create detailed material requirements plans for each component, including raw materials from external or internal vendors, intermediate products, or shipping items produced internally.

  • Verify material availability, documentation readiness, and confirmation of deliveries to the site.

  • Ensure material availability aligns with the approved production plan.

  • Provide daily oversight of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) for all Bill of Materials (BOM) material and analyze requirements.

  • Coordinate with warehouse and Quality department to ensure relevant activities are completed in line with production needs.

  • Manage planning and execution of material transfers between different company sites for commercial and clinical needs.

Skills: Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics D365 and SAP.

Education and Experience:

  • Typically a BS in Technology, Engineering, or Business Management is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of material planning experience.
