Vesta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Machine Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana

Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Pay: $23 hr

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist in maintaining a cGMP-compliant production environment.
  • Work must be done in compliance with current regulatory guidelines, national, state and local laws, company policies and safety requirements.
  • Duties include machine setup and adjustments, mechanical troubleshooting, moving equipment, packaging lines, tablet manufacturing equipment, encapsulation equipment, filling equipment, blending equipment.
  • Safely operate and monitor all equipment.
  • Clean and organize work areas
  • Accurately complete job-related paperwork and sign offs
  • Maintain safe work area.
  • Assist co-workers and managers in all areas as needed.
  • Complete cGMP and SOP Training - refer to Training Matrix for complete list of SOP training required for Machine Maintenance
  • Additional duties as assigned

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-5 year(s) experience
  • 1 year apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical (preferred)
  • 1 year experience in machine setup and tear down
  • 1 year experience in conducting predictive, preventative, and troubleshooting maintenance procedures
  • Diversity in Manufacturing (pharmaceutical preferred)
  • Diversity in Machine repairs on all types of machinery
  • Qualified with FDA and OSHA
  • Solves all Machine Issues
  • Disassemble and Reassemble all Manufacturing Machines
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • High degree of accountability and responsibility
  • Ability to perform with little supervision
  • Courteous, prompt and dependable
  • Muli-task oriented

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or higher degree from a vocational school or college focusing on Mechanical
  • 1 year of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of the maintenance technician job successfully.

  • Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. equipment.
  • Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required PPE, including but not limited to a hard hat, face mask, face shield, and composite toe shoes.
  • Regularly required to crouch, bend, and reach to install/move equipment.
  • Work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures.
