SAIC LabView Software Engineer in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana

Description

SAIC is looking for a mid-level LabView software engineer as part of the Air Refueling Store (ARS) program at its Indianapolis, IN facility. The candidate will directly support Government program(s) as a LabVIEW software engineer throughout the entire program lifecycle.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Candidate will be expected to design, develop, test, and debug software applications for use in Automated Test Equipment (ATE). Candidate will be expected to create supporting documentation; conduct peer reviews; and perform unit, regression, and integration level testing. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. Ensures software standards are met. Candidate is expected to possess excellent communication skills to interface to multi-disciplinary design team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software.

  • Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. End product may be special use, customized, or commercial software.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor’s and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years of related experience

  • Extensive knowledge of LabVIEW programming language for automated applications

  • Experience with National Instruments (NI) TestStand and/or Veristand

  • Knowledge of National Instruments (NI) hardware solutions and architecture

  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance

  • Must be U.S. citizen

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 communication protocols

  • Certified LabVIEW developer
