Primary Purpose: The IT Security Compliance Manager is responsible for maintaining security operations and leading security-related projects, designed to protect the company's sensitive data and assets. This role is both technical and strategic. Responsibilities include protecting and monitoring system boundaries, hardening cloud and on-premises systems, network security devices and security tools. The IT Security Compliance Manager will assist in the design and implementation of new security solutions and monitor existing solutions.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.

  • Identify security threats and opportunities. Help define system security best practices then work with team(s) to implement.

  • Lead system security architecture, develop detailed security.

  • Assist with preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols.

  • Audit compliance with company security standards and work with team(s) to remedy noncompliance.

  • Configure, troubleshoot and monitor security infrastructure devices.

  • Lead vulnerability management program and pen testing exercises. Collaborate Business Unit IT partners to implement remediations.

  • Research and review new technical solutions and security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable security tasks.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to create security awareness and execute communications in partnership with corporate communications team.

  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.

  • Assist with development and management of the IT security awareness program. Execute security awareness training and testing exercises.

  • Be an essential part of executing all tasks or projects as put forth in the IT security strategic plan.

  • Ability to translate security vulnerabilities into risk and explain risk to non-IT colleagues.

  • Have a proven experience in cybersecurity, particularly in a SaaS or cloud environment, with a strong background in compliance efforts for SOC2, NIST 800-171, and ideally NIST 800-53.

  • Develop and maintain the System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM), adjusting as necessary for evolving compliance requirements such as NIST-800-171 and SOC2.

  • Travel up to 25%

Education: BS degree in Computer Science required. In lieu of degree 9 years of proven work experience as an IT Security Manager or similar role required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as an IT Security Manager or similar role required. Have a proven experience in cybersecurity, particularly in a SaaS or cloud environment, with a strong background in compliance efforts for SOC2, NIST 800-171, ideally NIST 800-53 and/or CMMC required. Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols. Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security, experience in building and maintaining security systems required. Experience with Microsoft security solutions including Sentinel, Azure Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, etc. is highly preferred. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS security certifications, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
