PACIV, a global leader in industrial automation solutions servicing the Life Sciences and Utilities sectors, is looking for an Electrical Technician  to support  Automation Projects in the Midwest region.

Job Description :

Candidates must have an engineering or technical degree. They must also have at least 3 years of experience in industrial automation and instrumentation, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. They must have knowledge of calibration techniques, instrument specifications, defining calibration ranges, and critical operating parameters. We will be expected to explain the optimum calibration techniques and ranges to be used based on the process parameters. 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in building electrical control panels

  • High School Diploma; Electrical Engineering Technology (or similar degree) or Electrical certifications preferred.

  • Must be capable of reading and interpreting electrical schematics for 24 VDC, 120 VAC, and 480 VAC systems.

  • Knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Automation Direct, GE, etc.).

    Position Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs

  • Fabricate, mount, wire, and test industrial control panels per electrical schematics.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.

  • Utilize digital process meters (Fluke) to simulate analog (i.e., 4-20mA, 0-10V) and discrete signals for control panel testing.

  • Manage shop floor space, including inventory tracking, material purchase requests, schedule, shipping/receiving, and maintenance of shop tools.

  • Work with clients and in-house engineering staff to resolve technical issues during fabrication.

    Other Requirements

    Location:  Indianapolis

    Travel: Up to 20% of the time to various suppliers, collaborators, and client sites outside of Indianapolis.
