TITLE: Director, Technology Operations

Duties:Develop and execute a comprehensive technology operations strategy aligned with the organization's goals, ensuring the effective and efficient use of technology resources. Manage and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers, to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. Identify, evaluate, and implement appropriate technology systems and solutions to support the organization's operations, improving efficiency, productivity, and user experience. Oversee the IT support team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technology-related issues and incidents. Collaborate with finance and executive teams to develop and manage the technology operations budget, ensuring cost effective allocation of resources while meeting business requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including executive leadership, project managers, and business units, to understand technology needs, align priorities, and deliver solutions that support organizational objectives. Hybrid work is permitted within a reasonable commuting distance of the Indianapolis, IN office.

SCHEDULE:40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION:SMB IT, Inc., 8425 Woodfield Crossing Blvd, 5^th^Floor, East Indianapolis, IN 46240

REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of experience as an AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer, Solutions Analyst, Linux Engineer or related role where required experience gained. ALTERNATE REQUIREMENTS:Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and three (3) years of experience as an AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer, Solutions Analyst, Linux Engineer or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS:Also requires three (3) years of experience in the following:

  • Technology domains, including infrastructure, networks, cloud computing, and cybersecurity;
  • Technology solutions, strategic planning, project management, and implementation;
  • Cloud Platforms such as AWS or Azure;
  • Framework/DevOps tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, Docker Kubernetes, SonarQube, Nexus, or Packer;
  • Application/Webservers such as Tomcat, WebLogic, Ngnix, or JBoss;
  • IAC Tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform;
  • Scripting tools such as Bash and/or Python;
  • AWS Developer
  • Linux Administration.
