Description

Our Indianapolis, IN office is seeking a Designer to join our Development Services team. The qualified candidate will develop concepts as well as work on preliminary engineering and final design for various projects. This will include developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design, drainage, super-elevations and construction details.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate concept level and final design grading using AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Prepare exhibits and final design plans

  • Make revisions to plans based on comments

  • Manage deadlines for on-time submittals

  • Manage CAD Standards

Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D - modeling and grading design

  • Proficiency in MicroStation

  • 10 or more years of relevant design experience

  • Experience in the preparation of construction plans and documents

  • Ability to work independently and on a team

  • Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn

  • Ability to provide mentorship and train staff
