Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM. The AVADE instructor will need to plan to teach 8 hours per two-week pay period.

Make a difference

The AVADE Instructor teaches the CHNw approved workplace violence preventing training program to Network caregivers. AVADE is an acronym for Awareness-Vigilance-Avoidance- Defense-Escape. It is the most comprehensive, current, and effective approach to preventing, avoiding, de-escalating, and mitigating violence and aggression in any workplace setting. Travel is required and mileage will be reimbursed based on their home location.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

  • Vocational / Technical Degree (Preferred)

  • 2-year / associate degree (Preferred)

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Within six (6) months from hire Certifications/Licensures: (AVADE Training - Workplace Violence Prevention)

  • Experience in health care and or security required – minimum 2 years.

Additional Requirements & Guidelines

  • Once Certified, the new instructor(s) shall provide training in the associated AVADE® Training program to individuals within Community Health Network.

  • Each person trained in the associated AVADE® Training program(s) must receive an AVADE® Student Guide for all certifications . The certified AVADE® Instructor is responsible for purchasing the student guides from Personal Safety Training Inc. *Copying of the guides is strictly prohibited by copyright laws.

  • Every individual (student) trained in the associated AVADE® Training program(s) must be registered with Personal Safety Training Inc.

  • Instructors are required to upload all required student paperwork within seven (7) days to Personal Safety Training Inc. This process will be explained during your instructor training course(s) .
