A&P Mechanic

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Compensation: $28 - $38/hour, with up to $46/hour for highly experienced technicians, plus $2 shift differential for 2nd shift.

Job Description:

We are seeking skilled Aircraft Mechanics to join our team and contribute to the maintenance and repair of corporate jet aircraft. You will perform maintenance on mechanical systems, structural components, power plants, and avionics systems as directed. This is a hands-on role where you will work on a variety of aircraft, including Hawkers, Gulfstreams, Learjets, and Citations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on aircraft's mechanical, structural, power plant, interior, and avionics systems.

  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and rebuild mechanical, electrical, and interior components and systems.

  • Complete detailed paperwork and documentation for all tasks, adhering to FAA regulations.

  • Follow FAA-approved practices and maintain safety and quality standards in all work.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during maintenance tasks.

  • Occasionally work overtime as required to meet the demands of aircraft maintenance schedules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Aircraft maintenance experience (military or civilian) required.

  • Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks per Service Department Competency Manual.

  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and aircraft maintenance standards.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle technical challenges.

  • Knowledge of using technical documentation and literature effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A&P License (preferred but not required).

  • Experience working on corporate jets, including models such as Hawkers, Gulfstreams, Learjets, and Citations.

Work Environment:

  • Working in a hanger environment. The temperature varies, warmer in the summer and colder in the winter.

  • Current openings for both 1st and 2nd shifts.

  • 1st Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (with $2 shift differential)

Compensation:

  • $28 - $38/hour depending on experience.

  • The highest paid person on the floor currently earns $46/hour.
