S & T Bank Consumer Loan Documentation Specialist II in Indiana, Pennsylvania

Reference #: R-123 North Fifth Street: 355 North Fifth Street; Indiana, PA 15701 Work Days and Expected Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Responsible for the efficient and accurate preparation of all (including Real Estate and Non-Real Estate) consumer loan documents according to bank policy, compliance, and governing regulations. Requires advanced knowledge of lending, applicable banking laws, federal and state regulations, policies, and lending platforms. Ensures closing documents are prepared accurately and provided timely to banker to meet closing date and times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Acquires and maintains detailed knowledge of all consumer loan products, all applicable laws, and S&T Bank's Lending Policy to ensure compliance.

Maintains proficiency in Consumer Documentation software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet searches, E-mail, I.B.S., Consumer Loan Origination System, and Optima along with the upgrades to these programs or replacement software and any other conduit available to process applications as well as prepare required documents.

Review consumer equity applications and accurately prepares and provide re-disclosure packages within the required 3 business days from a changed circumstance.

Ensures hazard and flood insurance have appropriate limits and coverage.

Monitors the S&T Closing Date Report to ensure loan documents are prepared based off closing dates requested.

Satisfy underwriting pre-documentation condition(s) according to conditional approval.

Reviews and verifies all supporting documents from vendors and bankers to prepare the consumer loan documents. Makes changes to the loan package as necessary.

Updates product log, Documentation Checklist, and internal closing calendar (on an ongoing basis) as work is completed.

Prepares documentation for consumer loans, following all federal and state regulations, which include verifying all conditions of the approved loan have been met prior to releasing documents for closing.

Responsible comprehension of escrow documentation and processes according to federal regulation and bank policy

Daily interactions including but not limited to bank personnel, attorneys, insurance agents, other financial institutions, and tax collectors.

Assists in the training and development of Consumer Bankers, , and maintenance (including updates) of the Consumer Lending Closing and Funding manual to be used as both a training and reference manual.

Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

Performs all additional duties as required.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device, electronic equipment, office equipment: 90% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumb, hands, wrists, elbows, legs, lower and upper torso, and feet. The job requires sitting 6 hours per day in a straight and leaning position. Walking is required one hour per day which is slow in speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and filing up to 60% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18"-20" for computer work. Education

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education.

Experience

Two to five years general experience and one to two years specialized banking experience, regulatory and compliance preferred.

Salary Range:

$15.00 - $26.44
