Registered Nurse - Day Shift

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for adhering to clinical team workflows, performing daily staff nursing activities, and providing patient triage and education. This role involves collaboration with Providers and the Center Manager to enhance clinical performance and ensure compliance with national and organizational standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to clinical team workflows.

  • Perform daily staff nursing activities, including phone and in-person patient triage and patient education.

  • Collaborate with Providers and the Center Manager to identify and implement performance improvement activities.

  • Conduct regular monitoring activities to ensure compliance with standards of care.

  • Prepare the market for internal and external quality audits and lead the response to any clinical deficiencies.

  • Maintain current knowledge of state regulations for nursing, medicine, and pharmacy.

  • Educate patients, their families, and staff members on clinical conditions and processes.

  • Oversee clinical quality and patient safety through training and education of back-office personnel and administrative staff.

  • Ensure adherence to clinical processes, policies, and procedures in the center.

  • Manage a patient load of 8-25 patients per day, all aged 65+.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • AA/AS degree in Nursing required; BA/BS degree in Nursing (BSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.

  • Valid, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of current direct nursing/medical work experience required.

  • Experience in a community-based clinic, public health department, or specialization with the geriatric population preferred.

  • BLS certification for healthcare providers required.

  • Problem-solving orientation and eagerness to identify process gaps and implement practical solutions.

  • Proficient PC skills.

  • Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by the communities we serve is helpful.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare functions, including clinical functions, practice safety processes, reimbursement practices, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Track record of developing and implementing processes for excellent customer service.

  • Superior clinical/patient care skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of clinical procedures, legal rules and regulations, and best practices in healthcare.

  • Skilled in observation, training, and evaluating clinical/patient care competencies.

  • Ability to leverage business and organizational knowledge within and across functional areas.

  • High degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, with a driven and focused work ethic.

  • Continuous desire to learn and embrace new methods; ability to adapt and be resilient.

  • Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively.

  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations, including staff, providers, members, and family members.

  • Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
