The City of Independence will accept applications at KansasWorks, 317 N. Penn, Independence, KS 67301, for ride operators and ticket sellers for part-time work at Riverside Park and Ralph Mitchell Zoo.

JOB DUTIES:

This ad serves to hire temporary workers (April through October) that will work at Riverside Park under the supervision and direction of the full time park staff. Applicants will be responsible for operating the mini train and carousel, working at Miss Able\'s Snack Shack adjacent to the zoo, and selling tickets for the aforementioned attractions as well as our mini golf course. Employees will be interfacing with the public, including young children and must be able to provide exceptional guest services to all visitors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be neat in appearance and able to work in public places. This position requires that the employee is able to get along well with the public, especially children. The potential employee must be available to work Saturdays, Sundays and evenings throughout the season. Please note that most of the work will be conducted outdoors during the summer months. Money handling experience preferred. Please provide at least three references when applying.
