Título: SR DevOps Engineer - SG8 - Indaiatuba/SP - 106566

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, located at the John Deere unit in Indaiatuba/SP, you will work on Developer Experience, where we are constantly seeking ways to enhance the developer experience at John Deere. We build or provide solutions that make it easy to do the right thing. Sometimes, the right thing involves making infrastructure as code easier to start with or moving an application to the cloud by dockerizing it, or perhaps it entails writing discoverable APIs for other internal applications. Our goal is to identify constraints within our organization and alleviate them through our own best software development practices.

This team will focus on the Developer Experience platform that we have built/provided for the company. This platform will consist of several tools that are used daily as part of the development workflow. They will also concentrate on the observability platform that we provide to John Deere. The health of the platform is extremely important for our developers to deliver value to our end customers.

Your Responsibilities

  • Make infrastructure as code easier;

  • Move an application to the cloud by dockerizing it;

  • Write discoverable APIs for other internal applications;

  • Identify constraints within our organization and alleviate them;

  • Maintain good software development practices.

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields;

  • Advanced English (comprehensive vocabulary, good grammar, conducts meetings, argues, negotiates, and delivers training);

  • Experience with various DevOps tools (Drone, Github, Github Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Terraform, Puppet, Black Duck, Artifactory, Sonar, Linting Tools);

  • Experience using containers for server orchestration (Docker, ECS/Kubernetes);

  • Experience as a developer writing code for various applications;

  • Experience using DevOps practices or Extreme Programming as part of development;

  • Experience in operating and managing application infrastructure;

  • Experience using cloud solution providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) to host your applications and services;

  • Experience with consuming and writing APIs;

  • Unix/Linux administration experience;

  • Experience working with a community of other software developers;

  • Availability to work in the hybrid model in Indaiatuba/SP.
