Program Summary

KBR will help sustain the well-being of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain, as well as Incirlik Air Base, Izmir Air Station, Office of Defense Cooperation –Turkey and the Ankara Support Facility also in Turkey. The company will keep these bases and facilities operating smoothly so deployed Air Force and government personnel can execute their missions without distraction.

KBR’s work will include program management; civil engineering; morale, welfare and recreation support; postal operations; and safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene and ambulance services. It will also provide logistics support, such as vehicle management, fuel operations and air terminal services. KBR received this contract – which has a five-year base period and three one-year options—from the Air Force Installation Contracting Center.

Job Summary

KBR is currently seeking an experienced Electrician who will be responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the setup and maintenance of electrical infrastructure on Incirlik.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies low voltage electrical devices and systems associated with interior feeders and branch circuits and their over current protection.

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on lightning protection and grounding systems, electrical conduit and wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Codes (NEC), local codes and Safety Codes.

  • Prepares forms, and records as required for electrical systems and other components.

  • Ensures compliance with environmental and safety regulations and practices.

  • Perform driver/laborer duties as directed to include other related duties as assigned.

  • Performs duties assigned as an Interior Electrician (Interior) (90%)

  • Maintain, clean, and inventory tools and equipment (10%)

Basic Qualifications

  • Capable to speak, read, and understand the English Language at a minimum level 2.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

  • Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.

  • Eligible to acquire a Turkish security clearance.

  • Graduation from a Technical High School with a diploma in electric department.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on field experience as an electrician.

  • Physical capabilities include being able to lift 23 kilos, climbing ladders, extended sitting or standing, and working in normal and adverse weather conditions due to work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in operating a Government Vehicle.

  • Substantial knowledge of hand and power tools associated with Electrical, along with a general understanding of other hand and power tools and equipment.

  • Capable of effectively utilizing general hand and power tools.

  • Proven ability in customer communication and relationship building.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn on the job.

  • Familiarity with National Electric Codes (NEC), Local Codes, Environmental, and Safety Regulations is highly desirable.
