Amentum Warehouse Specialist - Non-TESA - Illesheim/Germany in Illesheim, Germany

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the facility storage plan, shipping procedures, personal computer operation and the safe operation of warehouse equipment. Experience desired in a Tech Supply facility environment.

  • Verify all items being received and/or shipped to or from the warehouse.

  • Remove material from storage and prepare for shipment.

  • Note and report discrepancies and obvious damages upon inspection of material.

  • Verify the accuracy of the daily receiving report/shipping log.

  • Store, stack or palletized materials in preparation for storage and/or shipment.

  • File all paperwork per documented procedures.

  • May route incoming items within the company as directed.

  • Maintain related records.

  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience using handheld scanners to perform transactions within a warehouse environment desired.

  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.

  • Valid Passport required.

Restrictions:

  • If US citizen, must be able to obtain/maintain Security Clearance (NAC-I T1) prior to start date.

  • If non-US citizen, must be able to obtain German Police Report or have LNSP. Refer to TAA countries list.

Working Permits required:

  • Must be able to obtain Germany Visa, German Tax ID number prior to start date

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of overall warehouse procedures.

  • Knowledge of logistics and supply procedures.

  • Must be able to obtain forklift/SRT license if required.

  • Knowledge or experience in the handling and management of Government Property desired.

  • Ability to perform task independently with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to perform work in a safe manner to prevent loss or damage of equipment.

  • Customer-oriented with ability to courteously and effectively work through difficult situations.

  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • May be required to lift heavy objects whose weight may exceed 50 pounds.

  • Must be able to type using a standard keyboard to communicate through e-mail and various software applications.

  • Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

  • May be exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment.
