Electrical Project Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be responsible for performing detailed engineering design on a variety of engineering tasks. You will provide approval on proposed project plans.

As a Project Engineer, a typical day may include the following:

  • Applying technical knowledge to designs and ensures projects meet specifications

  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Unit Leaders on process and design improvements

  • Assisting in preparation of proposals by estimating engineering hours

  • Following systems of quality control and provide status of projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the pipeline industry or a related industry

  • Experience with gas facility work and/or compressor stations

  • Curious and active listener: You have a deep hunger to learn, coupled with a willingness to think outside the box. You ask a lot of questions. You recognize there is a difference between “hearing” and “listening.”

  • Resilient and self-motivated: You are always striving to build upon previous successes

  • Detail oriented: The little things matter!

  • Collaborative: When we all succeed, we’re better for it!

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience in the Natural Gas or Electric power industry

  • Registration as a EIT or professional engineer
