Southern Ute Tribe Executive Assistant in Ignacio, Colorado

POSITION: Executive Assistant.

DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Detention Division Head provides administrative, clerical and Information System support to the Southern Ute Detention Center (SUDC).

REQUIREMENTS: Have 3 years clerical or secretarial experience and a Certificate of Completion in Office Management/Business Administration or closely related program from an accredited institution OR 4 years of clerical or secretarial experience, 2 years thereof in an administrative assistant or a high-level secretarial position. Have computer experience with advanced knowledge in software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel. Have a working knowledge of budget and accounting procedures.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Have or be able to obtain NCIC/CCIC Certification within 1 year of hire date. Sign confidentiality agreement at time of hire. Have a valid Driver s License for state of residency and be insurable under the Tribal vehicle insurance policy. Pass a thorough background check including Criminal History, fingerprint check, and pre-employment drug test.

PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience in a correctional setting as an administrative assistant. Experience using specialized law enforcement computer programs. Certification in First Aid and CPR. Current NCIC/CCIC Certification.

WAGES: Pay range starts at $59,494.00/year.

SHIFTS: Days.

JOBS SITE: Ignacio, CO.
