Weyerhaeuser Electrical Planner in Idabel, Oklahoma

Weyerhaeuser is seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. Weyerhaeuser’s Idabel Lumber facility is currently seeking an Electrical Planner to join our team. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Our manufacturing facilities are highly automated and utilize many leading-edge technologies in the wood products industry.

Key Functions:

  • Ensure the safety of all associates by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns
  • Actively oversee, develop, and participate in preventative maintenance activities and ensure effective communication across & between shifts and the production teams.
  • Utilize preventive maintenance systems to reduce unscheduled downtime
  • Efficient use of reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are met
  • Continuous improvement efforts involving maintenance and production crews in problem solving to maximize facility improvement in safety, housekeeping, waste reduction, quality, productivity, and cost
  • Use computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and delegate maintenance resources.
  • Identifying safety, environmental, quality and production issues
  • Identifying measures to minimize cost and reduce waste
  • Proactively resolving issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures
  • Perform duties in alignment with our SMP Workflow Management as owner of the process

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of basic electrical & mechanical processes
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all associates
  • Strong organizational skills Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency in MS Office, other windows-based programs, and internet skills
  • Experienced with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Maximo, SAP, or other CMMS applications
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and at heights should conditions warrant
  • Resume detailing work history required for consideration

Preferred skills:

  • Technical, associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or currently enrolled in technical or college program
