Amazon Senior Compliance Associate with Italian in Iasi, Romania

Description

The Global Solutions and Risk Compliance (GSRC) team ensures that Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements in accordance to the guidelines across global marketplaces. We proactively identify risks involved for Amazon while doing business in various countries and enable smooth flow of products across international borders.

A Senior Compliance Associate is responsible for protecting Amazon customers from products that are illegal, hazardous, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited /regulated by Law and Amazon policies. Duties may also include defining, applying, and defending regulatory policy and contractual requirements.

Key job responsibilities

Your job responsibilities as a Sr. Compliance Associate may include:

  • Report violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative and corrective procedures

  • Classify products based on SOP (Standard of Operations)

  • Follow SOP and instructions provided by managers

  • Provides ideas for process improvements to enhance process efficiency, quality and customer experience

  • Respond to stakeholders with guidance and flag any updates to Lead/Manager

  • Training and mentoring other Associates.

A day in the life

In your role as a Senior Compliance Associate, you will ensure that safety remains a priority for colleagues, vendors, and customers. Our Senior Compliance Associates are spread across the globe, from Krakow to Costa Rica.

You’ll be a crucial point of reference across product compliance. From day one, you’ll be using your analytical skills and attention to detail to identify and address day-to-day risks, ensuring nothing is overlooked. You’ll always have safety on your mind, while building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and colleagues. This role will see you facilitate effective communication, with everyone from leaders to new employees, so everyone understands their role in keeping operations running smoothly.

About the team

Compliance’s role is to work across Amazon to uphold global and local regulations, laws and safety standards. Some of our team work to import restricted products safely. Others spend time classifying products, making sure customers get the right safety warnings and understand any risks that may come with their purchase.

We take a long-term view of compliance. We use data, automation and world-class systems to make our customers’ shopping experience even better. Our team is based across the world, in regions including China, India, eastern Europe, the Middle East and South America. This way, we help colleagues across the globe stay safe and compliant.

Basic Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Diploma;

  • Proficiency in English (B2+)

  • Proficiency in Italian (B1+)

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a data-driven business environment;

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Excel proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline;

  • Knowledge of consumer product safety regulations;

  • Experience in product safety and/or regulatory compliance management with government agencies;

  • Knowledge of basic SQL.
