Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in discussions to develop and refine our environmental strategy for Salesforce development and deployment.

  • Skillfully manage back promotions, ensuring data integrity and consistency across environments.

  • Implement and enforce quality gates at multiple stages in our deployment pipelines to maintain high standards.

  • Build and maintain robust automation processes to streamline development and deployment activities.

  • Utilize Copado Command Line Interface effectively for efficient Salesforce deployments.

  • Design and propose strategies for feature-based deployments to higher Salesforce organizations.

  • Provide substantial expertise in Git, assisting development teams in understanding and utilizing its full capabilities, including low-level operations.

  • Expertly diagnose and resolve complex deployment issues, ensuring smooth and efficient release processes.

  • Collaborate with various teams (development, QA, operations) to ensure cohesive and coordinated efforts in the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Train and mentor junior staff in DevOps best practices, especially in areas like Git, Copado, and Salesforce development.

  • Continually assess and improve our DevOps practices, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for DevOps processes, tools, and best practices.

  • Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align DevOps strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 4-10 years of experience in DevOps, specifically with Salesforce and Copado.

  • Required certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1), Salesforce Certified Administrator and Copado Fundamentals I & II

  • Proven experience in designing environmental strategies and managing complex deployment processes.

  • Deep understanding and expertise in Git and related version control practices.

  • Strong skills in building and maintaining automated processes.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex deployment issues.

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
