Functional Area Description

WWPS is responsible for ensuring the safety of our medicines: pharmacovigilance and pharmaco-epidemiology deliverables including single case and aggregate safety monitoring, safety reporting, contribution to benefit-risk assessment, risk management planning and strategy, execution of certain post-marketing commitments and ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements.

PV PELS mission is to develop and implement effective learning strategies and set process standards for the global WWPS organization which enables the delivery of innovative pharmacovigilance and risk management initiatives that help patients prevail over serious diseases.

Position Summary / Objective

The Learning Media and Communication Specialist will play a pivotal role in the PV PELS and broader WWPS team, focused on optimizing and analyzing the effectiveness of media assets used in training and communications materials.

Working in close collaboration with instructional designers, this role aims to enhance the learning experience by evaluating and implementing various media elements, ensuring alignment with instructional goals, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. The primary objective is to elevate the quality and impact of learning and communication materials through strategic analysis and optimization of multimedia content. Additionally, the incumbent will contribute to development and design of organizational communications, fostering effective knowledge dissemination through multiple engagement channels.

Position Responsibilities

  • Media Analysis: Evaluate the effectiveness of multimedia content used in WWPS training and communication materials, including videos, animations, simulations, and interactive elements.

  • Optimization Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the impact of media assets, ensuring alignment with instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and communication objectives.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on multimedia content to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimal functionality.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts, and multimedia developers to integrate media elements seamlessly into training and communication materials.

  • Media Production Oversight: Provide guidance and support in the production of media assets, offering expertise in optimizing content for various delivery platforms.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize analytics tools to measure the engagement and effectiveness of media elements, gathering insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Technological Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in multimedia development, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the learning experience.

  • Communication Development: Contribute to the development and design of effective internal and external communications strategies, fostering knowledge dissemination across the organization.

Degree Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design, Digital Media, Instructional Design, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Media Production or Instructional Design is a plus.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in media analysis, multimedia development, or a related field.

  • Experience with multimedia production tools and software.

  • Demonstrated ability to optimize multimedia content for online learning platforms.

  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance principles, regulations, and industry guidelines.
