Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer II in Hyderabad, India

The Windows Silicon and Systems Integration (WSSI) team is seeking a talented software development engineer to analyze, debug, design and implement effective and scalable solutions for the next generation of products. Job responsibilities include debugging software issues, developing new features and fixes for existing ones. Development activities include integration and configuration management as well as designing and implementing effective solutions to improve product quality and customer satisfaction. Deep understanding of system/kernel level software and strong troubleshooting and debugging skills are critical. You should be a proven team player who works well in a collaborative environment with peers across the company

Responsibilities

  • Strong problem solving and debugging skills for modern-day multiprocessor systems (able to write/debug code, use debuggers and diagnostics tools)

  • Strong communication skills, including ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms.

  • Must be able to plan work, and work to a plan adapting as necessary in a rapidly evolving environment.

  • Tolerance for ambiguity and ability to make progress in the face of it.

  • Enthusiastic, motivated and self-driven.

  • Some domestic and international travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software or hardware development related fields

  • 3+ years of experience in system/embedded software development

  • Excellent C/C++ design, coding, and debugging skills

  • A sound track-record of shipping products and having been rough at least two development cycles

  • Ability to quickly ramp-up on complex and unfamiliar code
