We, the OneNote team are building the next generation note-taking experiences on Web, Android and iOS. Our mission is to empower people to Remember, Think, and Organize Better so they can Achieve More with the least effort.

We are looking to hire a Software engineer II in the OneNote Android team. In OneNote Android, we are working to build a fast, modern, mobile-first note-taking experience for our users and use AI-assisted contextual capture and semantic recall experiences to solve the basic human need of remembering. We are also working to provide this experience embedded in Microsoft 365 Hubs like Office and Outlook on Android that allows the user to access & edit notes from any app/experience in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The problems we are solving range from deep architectural improvements to building delightful user experiences powered by AI/ML and using the latest technologies. We work at a massive scale, and use the best-in-class infrastructure that boosts developer productivity & engineering velocity.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implementation of high-quality features/experiences in an iterative and rapid manner.

  • Demonstrate passion for quality with customer empathy.

  • Demonstrate ownership and technical expertise of product areas

  • Be self-motivated to identify and fix gaps in our product/engineering stack

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software development experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Android development

  • Proficiency in one of the following languages - Kotlin or Java or C++ Strong problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills

  • Working in agile teams with strong customer focus

  • Good communication and cross group collaboration skills
