Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a next generation of cloud infrastructure that delivers on-premises, high-performance computing power to run cloud native and enterprise company’s IT workloads.

OCI provides real-time elasticity for enterprise applications by combining Oracle's autonomous services, integrated security, and server less compute.

Subscription Plan Management (SPM) is an Oracle-based, highly available and secure web application that manages subscription information for Cloud products and services, handles most of the processes and operations for managing orders, subscribed services, computing usages and generating invoices.

Subscription Plan Management Production Engineering (SPM PE) team is seeking an accomplished Software Developer, who is:

Responsibilities:

Working within a highly successful SPM PE DevOps team, you will:

  • Design, development and enhancement of new products and services from inception and design through deployment

  • Adopt the OCI standard tools and DevOps standards, and practices. Build CI/CD environments and streamline deployments for variety of applications in cloud.

  • Conduct code and architecture reviews of the products and services.

  • Resolve performance and scalability issues related to products and services.

  • Develop architecture standards and practices. Identify opportunities to improve health, scalability, and resiliency of products and services.

  • Build small to complex enhancements and resolve complex Defects

  • Build and execute unit tests and unit plans.

  • Review integration and regression test plans.

  • Manage Level 1/Level 2 production issues for SPM application through evaluation, triage, and resolution.

  • Provide accurate and creative solutions to system issues to ensure customer success

  • Work in an Agile development environment across the world, improving SPM features and mitigating software issues by working closely with Product Development , Application Development Team and other Cross-functional teams, enabling SPM PE team to achieve product quality improvement to our customers.

  • Cover whole SDLC lifecycle by designing, developing, testing and patching into production accurate and creative solutions to system issues

  • Support operational activities by monitoring SPM application on weekdays and weekend as well

  • Share knowledge and mentor junior team members

Requirements:

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 5+ years of software development experience in Cloud Application delivery

  • Advanced experience with most of the following:

  • Java coding, debug, troubleshooting at least 3+ years

  • Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design.

  • Development experience/exposure to PL/SQL and Oracle Database

  • Experience working with Apache Kafka, Micro-services, and building performance-driven APIs

  • Agile methodology and UML

  • Must be a motivated, team-player with the ability to work cross functionally with a “can-do” and “do-it-right” attitude, a self-starter, and constantly thinking of ways to improve the work

  • Excellent written, verbal communication and documentation skills in English

  • Experience with Release Management, source code patching , e.g. REMO

  • Ability to demonstrate logical thinking, decisiveness and drive in taking on and completing tasks
