To achieve Microsoft’s mission, the HR Shared Services (HRS) team provides operational and support services for Microsoft HR programs, with primary areas of focus being customer support services, core HR operations (HR data administration, onboarding, leave administration, staffing, learning & development, etc.), business process optimization, HR online solutions, and project management. The success of the HR Services organization is critical to the overall effectiveness of HR and our ability to ensure consistent employee and manager experiences companywide.

Our Senior HR Service Advisor (Immigration and Global mobility) plays a key role in the ensuring data quality, enablement of downstream applications and processes to perform as expected and maintaining a compliant HR services organization. They are an action oriented professional and primarily responsible for using their exceptional problem solving, customer service and data entry skills to support HR Services operations. They also have hands-on knowledge of vendor management tool working in HR shared services, and most importantly the ability to exercise responsibility for maintaining position, employee data worldwide, while ensuring accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of the data. To be successful in this role, the individual in this position will need to excel at: operational execution, attention to detail, customer service, analytical problem solving, communications, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • You will work on process HR-related transactions, troubleshoot data and tool issues, and perform special projects and data audits ensuring quality data entry completed within SLA depending on priority & complexity

  • You will be supporting process management activities for Immigration and global mobility services.

  • You will review and verify the accuracy of employee records documents, as well as understand reporting requirements by participating in information-gathering sessions with stakeholders. You’ll also update processes, procedures, and knowledge-based content as requested.

  • You will work in a highly data sensitive environment, responsible for protecting Data Privacy at all time and adhering to confidentiality requirements to promote zero breach of compliance policies

  • You will help recommend new policies or processes by sharing input and suggestions based on employee feedback and contribute to process redesign and changes to the existing process by using independent judgment and discretion

  • You will independently respond to complex internal and/or external partner issues, advocating for the partner/customer, and influences the decision making on deliverables

  • You will provide customer support by working with internal partners or customers worldwide, answer questions and resolve transaction problems independently using discretion

  • You will help create training materials on policies, procedures & FAQs for Human Resources shared services, platforms, and tools. You’ll do this by learning the end-to-end service model.

Qualifications

Required or Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in Operations, Customer Support, Vendor Management, HR, or in a customer-facing role

OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 4+ years experience in Operations, Customer Support, Vendor Management, HR, or in a customer-facing role with excellent communication skills (both verbal & written) with an ability to respond to customer queries.

  • Display strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage Employee Reports, Work Permit / Visa requests and renewals, Relocation requests, Visa application and cancellation, Coordination with employee, business, GTA and vendor, Vendor Management and DTP updates.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and change implementation

  • Prior experience with Immigration and Global mobility services

  • Familiar with common help desk tool such as CRM is a plus

  • Strong analytical, problem solving & trouble shooting skills and desire to go above and beyond in resolving issues
