Role Purpose:

To support the engineering group in creating 3D models, drawings and BOM's.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work on new product development tasks, cost reduction projects and sustaining projects in a supportive team environment.

  • Proven experience in working with cross functional teams i.e. Design, Engineering, prototype labs, Manufacturing, marketing etc for development of new product, cost reduction and sustaining engineering activities.

  • Prepare necessary component and assembly drawings by following design/standard work guidelines support in releasing the same in PLM system like Windchill.

  • Hands-on experience in understanding the design & assembly and carefully generate Engineering Bills of Materials (BOM).

  • Performs prototype testing and evaluations, root cause analysis on products and design/production processes. Participates in engineering tasks and projects with significant scope and complexity

  • Performs drawing reviews through the ECO process. Ensures timely and accurate execution of engineering change orders.

  • Should be accountable for project activities assigned.

  • Ability to lead his/her assigned project activities independently without much of supervision towards project milestones.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn and advance skillset

  • Willing to travel (if and when needed) to interact with offshore team and develop domain knowledge as needed.

  • Work with CAE team and support in geometry cleanup to prep models for CFD and FEA.

  • Develop good working relationships with onsite global teams.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4 to 6 years of experience in product design and development.

  • Hands-on experience in CAD tools such as Creo (Pro-E) / Solidworks.

  • Strong hands-on experience on Engineering Change management processes (ECR/ECN/ECO) and PLM tools like Windchill.
