Amazon’s Last Mile Analytics & Quality team is looking for an enthusiastic, customer obsessed Business Analyst with broad technical skills to develop data visualizations and build automation solutions that drive business decision making and process improvement. The ideal candidate would be team oriented, hands-on, creative and innovative with a desire to participate in change and appreciate a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities. The role interfaces with program, ops, business excellence with a chance to work with multiple business stakeholders to drive strategic partnerships. This position will be the BA point of contact for DLP Flex team driving initiatives across 20+ programs.

Data analysis is at the core Amazon’s culture, and the line of work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for DLP Flex team. The role requires developing visualization tools to gather business insights, pattern markers, recommendations, and helping senior leaders make key business decisions and drive critical programmatic interventions. The role provides an opportunity to work with large and complex data to gather insights on DP attributes. These insights will influence the way Flex perceives the experience of DPs across their lifecycle.

We are looking for someone with a broad technical background in data analytics, strong business acumen, who takes ownership of their work and is customer obsessed. The successful candidate will communicate crisply in non-technical terms to the team and senior leadership. They will have an ability to make data-driven conclusions and will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This role is based at our Amazon corporate office in Hyderabad/IN.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new analytical tools, interfacing with ops and program stakeholders;

• Develop models and metrics providing insights on DP experience and performance;

• Own the Flex business metrics reporting in terms of data pipelines and report structure, defining the main metrics and KPIs;

• Drive process efficiency and automation;

• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the network to come up with new opportunities/insights;

• Perform deep-dives to find the root causes behind variances of key parameters over a given time-period;

• Partner with BIEs and Data Engineering teams within LMAQ to develop visualization dashboards.

Basic qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL or ETL, Microsoft Excel, Quicksight;

• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights;

• Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate across business areas;

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications

• 1+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience;

• 2+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience;

• Working knowledge of Redshift;

• Previous experience in creating detailed Business Requirement Documentation;

• Experience using very large datasets.
