Job Description

We are seeking for a Supply Chain Operations specialist for our plant of SAFRAN Electrical & Power India (SEPI) in Hyderabad. Under the responsibility of SEPI Supply Chain Manager, the VIE will support ISE division Supply Chain standards deployment in SEPI and align SEPI with best in class practices throughout ISE plants. Your mission will address both flows and processes.

  • Supporting the Supply Chain Manager of Hyderabad

  • Foster the connection with the Supply Chain Central and other Sites

  • Help to implement processes or tools

  • Organize and support the functioning of the warehouse

  • Participate or manage company projects

Responsibilities :

Benchmarks with other plants and Division Supply chain team and deploy best standards on:

• Warehousing : Effective storage management by considering ergonomic concerns, reducing motion during picking and enabling effortless FIFO

• Kit preparation : sequencing, pacing, visual management to monitor WIP level and sustain 100% service rate to shop floor

• Wire preparation area : effective spool storage by considering ergonomic concerns, kit flow management, optimized layout

• Non kitted items : storage systems in shop floor and process for Kanban management

Tools & processes :

• Identify and close the gaps with division procedures in the field of SAP transactions (material posting, rework requests…) / Attendance and activity punching system / BOM management in PDM / MRP check process

• Support MES deployment (scheduling and production control as a priority)

• Support DMS deployment

Supply Chain standards with the support of Division Supply Chain teams to

• Support SEPI roadmap on the SAFRAN standards maturity

• Manage Supply Chain Excellence project in SEPI

• Support inventory reduction plan by identifying and monitoring opportunities

Logistics :

• Support SEPI team in the transportation cost reduction project (import/export/customs clearances)

• Support the warehouse supervisor to identify and cost storage options for our future growth

Complementary Description

To become an International Intern in a Company, you must fulfil the following conditions :

  • Be aged at least 18 but not yet 29 : you must be 28 when you start your assignment, bearing in mind that a V.I.E contract always starts on the 1st of the month.

  • Be French or a European citizen.

  • Be in good standing with regard to the national service obligations of your country(ies) (defence ID n°).

  • Have a clean criminal record.

  • Be able to devote yourself full time to your assignment : no part-time work, entrepreneurship, studies or paid activity at the same time as your V.I.E.

  • Accept the letter of appointment that you sign with Business France which sets out your rights and your duties during your assignment.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

• Experience in supply chain operations, process improvement, and/or project management is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and supply chain management software.

• Knowledge of SAP is a plus .

• Experience in forecasting and capacity planning is a plus.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
