Implementation Consultant

Job Description:

In this highly Partner/Customer-interactive role, the Consultant will be required to have a real passion for software technology, willing to expand on current knowledge and maintain an expert-status in a fast-moving environment. The Consultant must be highly motivated and have a pro-active can-do approach, possessing an excellent understanding of complex software implementations and knowledge of the Sage application solutions.

Sage Experts are responsible for providing Expert Service consultancy, product enablement, escalation support, pre-sales advice and support, maintaining and advising on project delivery processes/methodology and supporting success and collaboration within the Sage community.

Key Responsibilities:

•Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Sage assigned solution configuration and implementation processes to deliver Expert Consultancy to customers and partners. This will be through formal education, hands on experience and also through self-study

•Achieve Product Expert level in Solution capabilities. Build a good understanding across areas outside of your core competency

•Participate in requirement gathering and workshops. Analyse feasibility and propose solutions to meet Customer requirements. Research issues and deliver fixes to Customer

•Setup, configure and test software solutions for Customers. Deliver quality work on time and within budget

•Create and maintain delivery documentation

•Share best practice recommendations with Partners and Customers, ensuring an optimal use of the software. Share best practices and lessons learned with peers

•Manage Customer and Partner expectations throughout the project/engagement lifecycle. Ensure Customer satisfaction and build strong and positive relationships

•Mentor consultants whilst they carry out their implementations ensuring that their credibility is maintained

Skills & Experience:-

•Ideally a finance/bookkeeping background as this role will involve speaking to finance professionals on a daily basis

•Prior experience as a consultant would be advantageous

•Have a genuine interest in tech/software

•Be comfortable explaining complex solutions to senior stakeholders and presenting to large groups over calls
