New Morning Farm LLC Farm Workers and Laborers in Hustontown, Pennsylvania

3 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 05/01/2024- 11/10/24.

Must have 1 month or more mixed organic vegetable production experience. The job duties include: The job duties include picking piece rate peas, green beans, cherry tomatoes. Will also include pruning tunnel cucumbers, row cover application and removal, tomato staking and twining, and fall hand removal of plastic and tomato stakes. Hourly harvested crops will include: corn, cauliflower, broccoli and lettuce.

A 10 day training period and a minimum pick rate after that time will be applied to satisfy the job requirements. Workers will be required to lift up to 50lbs. Minimum pick rates: peas-18lb/hr, beans-37lb/hr, cherry tomatoes-23lb/hr. All required tools will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Frequent stooping/ bending over
  • Repetitive movements.
