IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a UAS Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review technical documents such as general designs, layouts, schematics, blueprints, and product write-ups based on Engineering and/or customer input.

  • Monitor short range reconnaissance system assembly, integration, and test activities.

  • Identify technologies that could be integrated to expand the suite of Sensors capabilities (improved targeting system performance, improved sensors performance for pilotage and steering, target recognition and identification, and increased UAS datalink A2AD performance).

  • Identify improvements for short range reconnaissance platforms in regard to Sensors Systems, (EO/IR, Radar, Radio Frequency Interferometer [RFI], and unmanned aerial systems [UAS] datalinks).

  • Exploit external research and development (RandD) opportunities, develop solicitations, and evaluate proposals in support of modernization objectives.

  • Provide inputs to the Government Customers program plans and technical requirements.

  • Review Prime Contractor proposals and plans for sound technical approaches that meet requirements within the program schedule.

  • Review and assess technical data (specifications, analyses, test plans/reports)

  • Provide recommendations towards resolving and/or preventing technical issues

  • Review and provide comments on Prime Contractor Objective Evidence in support of major milestone reviews (e.g. SRRs, PDRs, CDRs)

``` - Review ground and flight test objectives, data requirements and data analysis methodologies.

  • Represent the interests of the customer in Failure Review Boards, Working Groups, Integrated Product Teams, Engineering Review Boards, Material Review Boards and Technical Interchange Meetings

  • Identify and contribute to the resolution of complex engineering issues that can involve multiple engineering functional areas

  • Participate in developing resolutions to technical problems providing strategic project plans and approaches

  • Assist Chief Engineers in day-to-day activities including response to data calls and action items, preparing briefing packages, tracking and reporting status of activities and issue resolution, prioritizing and coordinating group activities, facilitating meetings, representing the Chief Engineer in meetings, etc.

  • Travel to contractor and test locations CONUS/OCONUS (approximately 20% travel)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Education and General Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required (technical preferred) from an accredited college.

  • 8-10 years of direct experience or an equivalent amount of relevant experience is required.

  • A strong work ethic, the ability to work effectively with others and a healthy desire to acquire new skills are paramount in this position.

  • Electrical/Mechanical background.

  • Experience in a Project/Program Management Office.

  • Ability to work with various functional groups on requirements generation, mechanical and electrical ICDS.

  • Working knowledge of general missiles/rockets or small payloads systems is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
