Aerotek TIG Welder - Local & Per Diem in Huntsville, Alabama

Location: Huntsville, AL

$30-40/hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced INCONEL Welder to join our aerospace company. As an INCONEL Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on INCONEL alloy components for aerospace applications. Your work will be integral to the production of our advanced aerospace products, ensuring that all welds meet stringent quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding INCONEL and other high-strength alloys, as well as a thorough understanding of welding techniques and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precise welding operations on INCONEL and other high-strength alloys for aerospace components.

  • Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welders, to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to achieve precise welds that meet project requirements.

  • Conduct quality control inspections on welds to ensure they meet the required standards for aerospace applications.

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve welding issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and procedures at all times.

  • Document work completed, including weld settings and inspection results, as required by the company and industry standards.

  • Participate in training and certification programs as needed to stay current with welding techniques and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal welding training or certification is preferred.

  • Proven experience as an INCONEL welder, particularly in aerospace or similar high-precision industries.

  • Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques, as well as other welding methods used in aerospace manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of metallurgy, weld symbols, and related technical drawings.

  • Familiarity with industry standards such as AWS (American Welding Society) or ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.

  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials as required.

  • Willingness to work in varying environments, including workshops and production areas.

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise welding tasks.
