Tyonek Manufacturing Group Test Facilitator in Huntsville, Alabama

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Tyonek Services Group is providing full on-site / off-site maintenance flight/Functional Check Flight operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.
  • Areas for support to be provided include completion of all maintenance test flights on AFTD aircraft, fault isolation and troubleshooting, and management of internal contractor pilot and non-rated crewmember flight records.

DUTIES:

  • Provides test planners and test executors with information and support pertaining to: Maintenance support capabilities, Logistics requirements, safety concerns, Risk Mitigation recommendations, equipment operating details, test setup recommendations, test article availability, test equipment availability, support equipment requirements, and aircraft maintenance requirements
  • Assists maintenance personnel as required with aircraft configuration changes and test execution
  • Provides inputs to the Air Worthiness Committee
  • Advises and assists Production Control and Logistics with support requirements for test execution
  • Must be able to read and interpret aeronautical drawings and written procedures and formulate project estimates.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel with detailed test execution instructions and requirements
  • Provides Test Engineers with current Maintenance status and test results
  • Advises Test Engineers on post test result reports
  • Experience with Quality Control functions
  • Experience with different aircraft configurations involving avionics and ASE equipment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization and provide above average communication skills and customer support mentality.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements for an Aircraft Mechanic Level II or Electronics Technician Maintenance Level II.

  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance, test and/or related experience in a comparable aerospace industry of similar size and operational complexity.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and formulate project estimates.
  • Must have experience in working with MS Office, Excel, MS Word and Power Point software.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools.
  • Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
