Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineering role applies expertise to directly c ontribute to the development of new energetic materials manufacturing concepts and techniques. This position exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Essential Functions:

• May plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or major phases of significant project assignment, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and suppliers in the performance of assigned projects.

• Plans experimental feasibility studies and investigations to formulate problem and validate solution methods.

• Interprets analytical and experimental data including forecasting the significance of the conclusions reach on future related work.

• Develops and review statements of work and statements of requirements for compliance with L3Harris safety protocols and US Government safety specifications and requirements documents.

Qualifications:

Requires comprehensive level knowledge of job area. May have in-depth knowledge of project management. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and minimum 6 years of prior engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Some knowledge of Aerojet Rocketdyne (Missile Solutions) product lines.

  • Background in Engineering and/or technical development is preferred.
